Deputy skipper of the Senior Soccer National Team of Ghana, Thomas Teye Partey, has said that Ghanaians should be ready for a definite comeback after a disappointing performance by the team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Black Stars midfielder said they wished to had gone farther than the group stage but reality did not permit their progress. He thanked Ghanaians and promised a come back.
“It was our biggest wish to give Ghanaians something to cheer about but unfortunately it didn’t go as we wanted. I want to say a huge thank you for the unconditional support from home and across the world. With the support of God we will come back stronger.” He said on Facebook.
Meanwhile, Thomas Partey has received a lot of backlashes from Ghanaians and other football lovers that he does not give his all whenever he plays for the national team. In an interview, Sulley Muntari has said that when Partey gives just 25% of his ability and intelligence, the Black Star will be unstoppable.
