Wendy Shay reacts to comparisons to fellow female singer Gyakie

Musician Wendy Shay has reacted to comparison between her talent and that of her fellow female singer Gyakie, says it is unreasonable. 

The talented Ruff Town Records artiste responded to an interview that individuals who compare artistes should rather channel the same energy into appreciating their styles and talents.

“it’s not fair to even compare. You know, I have been doing and giving hits back-to-back for five years so there shouldn’t be any comparison. I am an international artiste as well and I am working towards it to become a global artiste”, Wendy said.

She further made biblical allusions by comparing the industry to athletic events, says it doesn’t matter how swift one is in the music industry but how one focuses on his/her plans and commits to exciting them.

“The race is not for the swift; once you’re working hard and working on yourself, you are going to get wherever you put your mind to,” Wendy Shay added.

Both Wendy Shay and Gyakie have individually achieved significant wins in the music industry, but some listeners have said Gyakie is getting the recognition than Wendy Shay on the international front.
