The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has issued an urgent advisory to customers using Nuri Prepaid Meters to top up their meter credit sufficiently to last at least one month. This measure aims to prevent any disruptions to electricity vending services during a scheduled upgrade of the Nuri Prepayment system and other Standard Transfer Specifications (STS) metering systems.

In a statement released on Saturday, November 23, 2024, ECG emphasized the importance of the upgrade, describing it as a “mandatory STS upgrade designed to ensure uninterrupted vending services.” The upgrade is part of ECG’s efforts to modernize its infrastructure and enhance service delivery for customers.
