President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 72 individuals for the role of District Chief Executive (DCE). The nominations were officially announced in a statement released on March 26 by Ahmed Ibrahim, the Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs.

The nominations are in line with the stipulations of Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, as well as Article 20(1) of the Local Government Act, 2016 (Act 936).
