Barcelona Are 2022/2023 La Liga Champions [Details]

FC Barcelona have become champions of Spanish La Liga title for the first time since 2018-19.

They have won the league with four more games to play. The team took a 4-2 home victory against city rivals Espanyol to seal this milestone.

With Alex Balde’s assist, Robert Lewandowski scored the first goal in the 11th minute to carry Barca’s hopes of winning the title.

Alex Balde scored the second in the 20th minute whilst Lewandowski added the third to make it 3-0 in the first department of the game.

An assist from Frankie De Jong aided Jules Kounde’s productive header to make it 4-0 for FC Barcelona.

Espanyol made two responses from Javier Puado and Joselu but could not score any more goals until the referee ended the match.

Barcelona now have 85 points, 14 more than rivals Real Madrid. They have more 12 points left to play for.
