The BET awards which were given out on Friday night during a live broadcast from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, honored the year’s top accomplishments in music, TV, film, and sports.
This year, the Lifetime Achievement Award was handed to Busta Rhymes at the 50th anniversary celebration. With seven nominations each, Drake and GloRilla shared the most overall, and they both ended the night with two wins.
One of the evening’s highlights was Offset and Quavo teaming up to honor the late Migos member Takeoff.
Nigerian musician Davido captivated the audience at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California, with a thrilling performance. The DMW Boss performed a mashup of his chart-topping singles “Feel” and “Unavailable” off his most recent album, “Timeless,” to have the crowd moving and cheering.
