Member of Parliament for Abetifi and former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Bryan Acheampong, has extended a generous hand of support to victims of the recent fire outbreak at Blue Light in Adum, Kumasi. He donated GH₵300,000 to affected traders and pledged to reconstruct the destroyed shops within 12 months, pending approval from the Asantehene and Kumasi city authorities.
The devastating blaze, which tore through the popular trading hub, left several shops in ruins and many traders counting heavy losses. In a statement during his visit to the site, Bryan Acheampong expressed his deep sympathies for the victims and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the recovery process.
“This tragedy has disrupted livelihoods, but together, we will rebuild. My team is ready to start reconstruction as soon as we receive the green light from the Asantehene and local authorities,” he said.
