Burna Boy beats Stomzy, Ayra Starr, others to win B.E.T’s “Best International Act” award

The 2023 BET Awards saw Latto, Beyoncé, Coco Jones, Teyana “Spike Tey” Taylor, Burna Boy, Labianca among others being announced as winners in various categories on Sunday night, June 25, 2023, during the live telecast. The 2023 BET Awards was also to celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop.

The awards gave recognition to the best personalities with diverse crafts of the year, in music, TV, film and sport.

Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Burna Boy won the “Best International Act” category at the 2023 B.E.T Awards. The “Last Last” hitmaker beat country mate Ayra Starr, UK based Stomzy, others to win the award.

Meanwhile, Cameroonian, Labianca, gave a stunning performance at the ceremony as she also won the  “Best New International Act”, beating Ghanaian Camidoh among others in that category.

Ghanaians and lovers of Camidoh’s music will definitely be disappointed at the announcement of Labianca winning that category since Camidoh was the only Ghanaian nominated at this year’s awards ceremony as Ghanaians were of utmost confidence of the “Sugarcane” hitmaker bringing the award home.
