BUSTED: Evangelist & Prophetess Sentenced 11years For Stealing GHC265K
Evangelist Samuel Kwesi Tsogbe of Cornerstone Ministry International and his prophetess, Esther Christ, are both to spend eleven years in jail for looting GHC265,000 from the account of a retired lecturer.
Mr. Samuel Kwesi Tsogbe, 33, will serve six years while Esther Christ, 63, was put away to serve five years.
The Adenta Circuit Court judge made the proclamation when the accused pleaded guilty to the charges.
According to Police investigation, the accused travelled from Kpando to Accra, to prayer for the bedridden lecturer. During their stay in Accra, they managed to steal Cheque Book and National Investment Bank (NIB) ATM Card to transfer money from the sick lecturer’s account over a period of time.
Police investigations also proved that Evangelist Tsogbe and Prophetess Esther had bought a tipper truck, and a Hyundai Might 2 vehicle and rented a shop in the Oti Region.
They pleaded for forgiveness in the court as he regretted his action.
“I apologize for this; I have learnt my lesson.”
“I am sorry for my actions,” Esther told the court.
