Chief Iman Hits Back: Rev. Owusu Bempah Denies Claims Chief Imam Visits For Help.

Leader and founder of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Reverend Owusu Bempah, has declined through his church that he has never claimed the National Chief Imam visits him to “look into his destiny” and for spiritual protection and guidance.

The church released a statement today, saying the earlier publication spread falsehood, to misinform and temper with the cordial relationship between Sheikh Ousman Nuhu Sharubutu and Reverend Owusu Bempah.

“We wish to state emphatically that Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah has not at anytime claimed that the Chief Imam visits or consults him to look into his destiny. The publication was clearly actuated by malice, a desire for profit, sensationalism and calculated to disrupt the peaceful and cordial relationship between the Chief Imam and Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah.”

The statement from Glorious Word Power Ministries International further expressed its disappointment in the office of the Chief Iman for using strong words when responding to the publications by bloggers and journalists.

“It comes as a shock to us that in spite of the cordiality and harmony which exists between the office of the National Chief Imam and Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah and after all assurances given by us, the former issued a strong worded press statement with very unpleasant descriptions of Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah.”

“We wish to put on record, that as a church we take serious exceptions to the description of our General Overseer as a “Charlatan on the pulpit” among other distasteful words. We revere and hold our General Overseer in high esteem as much as we love and respect his Eminence the National Chief Imam.”

The office of the National Chief Imam earlier reacted to the issue which prompted the attention of Rev. Owusu Bempah’s followers.

Parts of the response from the office of the National Chief Imam reads, “We wish to state that all the claims of Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah contain no iota of truth, but represent the figment of his own imagination.

“Undoubtedly, Shiekh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu is a champion of interfaith harmony and peaceful co-existence. But he does not seek protection and prosperity from charlatans on the pulpit.”
