Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun has issued a public apology following the outcome of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries, admitting that his earlier prophetic declaration did not come to pass.

In a statement titled “Public Statement & Apology,” the prophet acknowledged that through a book, videos and several media interviews, he had declared that Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would win the NPP presidential primaries and emerge as the party’s flagbearer. However, the results of the primaries proved otherwise, with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia emerging victorious.

“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong,” Prophet Nelson-Eshun stated, adding that he is deeply sorry and humbly asks for forgiveness from the public.

He admitted that because he spoke publicly with prophetic authority, many people trusted his declaration and were affected emotionally, spiritually and politically. He took full responsibility for the failed prophecy and apologised to all those who were hurt, disappointed or made decisions based on his words.

“I do not blame anyone or shift responsibility. I accept that this prophecy, as declared, failed,” he emphasised.

The prophet said the incident has caused him to pause, reflect and realign himself in accountability and discernment, particularly in how prophetic revelations are communicated. He reaffirmed his commitment to integrity, growth and truth.

Prophet Nelson-Eshun also extended a special apology to believers in Ghana and around the world who felt disappointed or wounded, noting that he regrets any doubt his actions may have sown regarding the voice of God and His ability to speak to His people.

He expressed gratitude to those who have corrected him in love and to those who continue to pray for him.

The apology follows that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is winning the NPP presidential primaries, contrary to the earlier prophecy made by Prophet Nelson-Eshun.
