Black Stars and Hearts of Oak player, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, is reportedly closing the doors for the Accra-based soccer team, Hearts of Oak, after the player’s return from Qatar.
The decision for both parties to reach an agreement has been lingering over a couple of months now, and the player seems to have no interest in agreeing to sign for the club.
It is still unclear whether Barnieh has been approached by a different football club or he is tarrying matters to call for salary increment. After a good pre-world cup performance against Switzerland, there were hushed talks about several European and Asian clubs chasing after his signature.
From Dabo academy through to gaining recognition, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh joined Hearts in 2019 from second-tier side Madina Republicans. He has scored 21 goals in all competitions for the Phobians.
