Portugal got a penalty on the 65th minute of their World Cup group game against Ghana. Many sports pandits and renowned sports analysts labeled the spot kick that gave Portugal their first goal of the tournament controversial.

Coach of the Senior National soccer team of Ghana, Otto Addo expressed concerns that it was not a right call by referee Ishmail Elfath, adding that the penalty was a gift to the Portuguese.

Sunday Oliseh, from Fifa’s technical study group (TSG), in response to a briefing in Doha said attacking players must be given the needed commendations for their ingenuity.
