Former Minister of State, Mr. Ishmael Ashitey has passed away. The sad incident occurred on the 7th January, 2022 – same day marked as the ‘constitution day’ in Ghana.
Ishmael Ashitey was born on November 20, 1954 and was educated at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He was a Ghanaian politician and a member of the New Patriotic Party in Ghana. He was the Greater Accra Regional minister of Ghana. He was appointed by President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo in January 2017 and was approved by the Parliament in February 2017. He was also a Member of Parliament.
On his social Media handle, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia sent his condolences to the Ashitey family in a screenshot below.
