The Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned the public to disregard a fraudulent letter making rounds on social media, which claims that financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff.
In an official statement, GES clarified that the letter did not originate from its offices and described the document as fake. Management further emphasized that no such recruitment exercise has been announced.
The Service assured the public that any official communication regarding recruitment will be released exclusively through the official channels of the GES and the Ministry of Education.
Meanwhile, the GES is urging the public to remain vigilant, avoid falling victim to fraudsters, and promptly report any suspicious or fraudulent activities connected to the fake letter.
The statement was signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES.
