After four years of staying anonymous on YouTube and other social media platforms, the popular Ghanaian content creator known as the “Headless YouTuber” has finally revealed his true identity. Fans and followers, who had long speculated about his identity, initially linked him to well-known comedians like OB Amponsah, Lekzy DeComic, and Clemento Suarez due to his humorous and relatable style of content creation. However, the mystery is now solved: the man behind the mask is Frederick Amegbe Mattey, popularly known as Kula.

Kula, a former Ghanaian Hiphop/Afrobeat artiste and the 2019 Unsung Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, made the big reveal in a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter).

“TBVH, this reveal has given me some level of relief that I can’t explain. For years, I’ve been paranoid. Always sneak-using my phone in public, had palpitations whenever someone I knew asked me whether I was Headless or not, couldn’t work when I had visitors over or when I travelled, etc. What a great relief!!!!” Kula wrote, capturing the emotional weight of years spent in secrecy.
