How To Delink An Unauthorised Phone Number From Your Ghana Card.

The National Communications Authority has today, May 1, 2023, announced a shortcode to check the number of SIM cards linked to a particular Ghana Card.

The NCA further announced that, it is impossible for an agent to assist one to delink a certain number from the list of registered numbers you received via SMS after using the  USSD. Again, the shortcode in meant to only check the numbers linked to the Ghana Card.

They added that, one has to visit a valid Service Provider Customer Care Shop with Ghana Card for a smooth process of delinking an unauthorised number from the list of numbers.

The National Communications Authority’s Full note below:

“For Individual SIM Registrations:

If you wish to delink any number from the list of registered numbers you receive after using the shortcode/USSD, kindly visit your Service Provider Customer Care Shop (not Agent) with your Ghana Card. Please note that your Service Provider will conduct a full Know Your Customer (KYC) before a delinking will be effected.

For Business SIM Registrations:

Service Providers will release a Webpage with security log in as some businesses have over 200 numbers and text messages cannot show all.”
