The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwahu South, Hon. David Effah Osei-Bonsu, popularly known as Ato Plans, has made an emotional appeal to President John Dramani Mahama to construct the badly damaged Nketepa road.
The MCE made the appeal on Monday, August 10, 2026, during an interview on Nkawkaw-based Republic FM.
Speaking passionately about the condition of the road, Hon. Effah Osei-Bonsu said he would be satisfied if President Mahama could construct the road, even if the President later asked him to step down as MCE.
He made the statement while on his knees in the studio of Republic FM, showing how serious he considers the situation.
Nketepa is a town in the Kwahu South Municipality, and the road connecting the community serves several major farming communities.
However, the poor condition of the road makes it difficult for farmers to transport their farm produce to market centres. The situation is also said to be discouraging investors from exploring opportunities in the area.
The MCE is therefore appealing to President Mahama to prioritize the Nketepa road to help improve transportation, support farmers and promote development in the area.
