Teen Rapper Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, popularly known as Yaw Tog has advised youngsters who want to break into the music scene with their craft, to be strong in the spirit before jumping in.
According to the Asakaa boy with the ‘sore’ hit song, doing music in Ghana is not just about having the talent to sing and the energy to perform – most importantly, one needs to be strongly fortified in the spirit as well.
Apart from matters relating to the realms of the spirit, he added his defeat last year can also be blamed on friends who were not genuine to being loyal to him.
“I Feel like advising the young ones wishing to do music in the near future please be strong in the spiritual world too. i got defeated early this year but I’m back again and be beware of fake friends. please”. – Yaw Tog said on Twitter.
Yaw Tog, in his career as a rapper, has won Music Awards for Viral Song of the Year and Hip-Hop song of the year for 2021 VGMAs.
