Ghanaian investigative journalist and Editor-in-Chief of The Fourth Estate, Manasseh Azure Awuni has commended the Inspector General of Ghana Police for revisiting some criminal cases that have been forgotten.
According to the journalist, he is aware Dr. George Akuffo Dampare who becomes the youngest Inspector–General of Police (IGP) to be appointed in the Fourth Republic is working hard to investigate dead crimes committed against the laws of the state.
“I am aware that since Dr. Dampare took over as IGP, the police have returned to some of the forgotten cases and are working to resolve them. We can only wish them well”
As seen by sixscribes.com, Mr. Azure posted this on Twitter following the Police inviting Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale who earlier alleged that his former manager Bull Dog has a hand in the death of Mr. Fennec Okyere.
Mr. Okyere, former manger of Kwaw Kese, was murdered at his residence in Accra on March 13, 2014. Eight years after his death, police have called another look in his murder case after Shatta Wale made certain comments on Facebook. Bulldog, who had a beef with Fennec, was arrested in 2014. He was later freed after investigations in the same year.
