Retired boxer, Floyd Mayweather, is set to return to the boxing ring on September 25, 2022, for another boxing exhibition in Japan.
Mayweather, 45, made the announcement on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at a press event in Hawaii. He said he will fight Mikuru Asakura at the Rizin 38 show in the Super Saitama Arena near Tokyo, Japan.
The Rizin 38 is a multi-combat sports comprising Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), a kickboxing bout and an exhibition bout of Mayweather.

“Japan is a great place, entertaining place — they love to be entertained. So, I’m going to go out there and entertain them, which is what I do best”, -Mayweather said in a press conference on Wednesday.
Mayweather’s last professional fight was a 2017 bout against Conor McGregor. He praised Asakura by calling him “one of the best” in Japan, before emphasising, that he is “one of the best in the world.”
Later at the press conference, Mayweather and Asakura faced-off.
Floyd Mayweather, after retiring in 2017, is currently an American boxing promoter. He currently owns a team in the NASCAR Cup Series named The Money Team Racing.
