Generous Donations to Dialysis Units by The Maker’s House Chapel International
October 10, 2023; Accra, Ghana – The Maker’s House Chapel International, led by the esteemed Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye, has demonstrated its commitment to community health with substantial donations to two prominent healthcare facilities in the capital city.
A total sum of GHC100,000 has been contributed to the Dialysis Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, reflecting the church’s dedication to supporting critical medical services. Dr. Nyamekye expressed, “This is the initial deposit. We will be giving them more as the need arises, and it’s specifically allocated for dialysis patients.“
Additionally, the church has extended its benevolence towards the Dialysis Unit at the 37 Military Hospital with a donation of GHC50,000. Dr. Nyamekye emphasized, “This is the starting point, and as the demand persists, we’ll continue to provide support exclusively for dialysis patients.“
These contributions come at a crucial time, as there has been significant concern within the community following an abrupt increase in the cost of dialysis sessions at the Renal Dialysis Unit of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. On September 27, the price surged from GH¢380 to GHS¢765.42 per session, presenting a substantial financial challenge for patients in need of this life-sustaining treatment.
The Maker’s House Chapel International’s donations serve as a beacon of hope for patients struggling with kidney-related health issues. With these substantial contributions, the church aims to alleviate some of the financial burdens that individuals face when seeking essential medical care.
The leadership of The Maker’s House Chapel International and Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye exemplify the spirit of philanthropy and community support, embodying the values of compassion and solidarity in the face of health challenges.
