The Ghana Police Service has arrested a man identified as Malcom Fraizer, also known as Nii Djan, in connection with the murder of another man following a violent fight in Accra.
Police say the incident happened on 1st April 2025, after Fraizer reportedly found out that the victim was in a relationship with his ex-wife. This discovery is believed to have sparked a physical confrontation between the two men, during which the victim was fatally injured.
Fraizer was arrested on 1st July 2025, nearly three months after the incident. His arrest came after the Intelligence Unit of the National Operations Directorate (NOD) at the Police Headquarters gathered key information that led to the discovery of his hideout. A video connected to the incident, which surfaced online, also helped investigators locate him.
During questioning, Fraizer confessed to fighting the deceased after learning about the alleged relationship between the victim and his former wife. However, police are still investigating the exact circumstances that led to the death.
The suspect is currently in police custody and assisting with further investigations. Authorities say more details will be shared as the case develops.
The Ghana Police Service continues to urge the public to report any information that can assist in criminal investigations.
