NCA To Deny Access To Calls And Data Of Unregistered SIMs, Effective Monday September 5, 22

From Monday, September 5, 2022, all Ghanaians who have not registered their SIM cards will experience instability in having access to internet and other communication services. This includes all outgoing voice calls and data services.

Despite rescheduling deadline for SIM registration in Ghana to September 30, the National Communications Authority (NCA) will roll out punitive actions against those who are yet to have their SIM cards registered. Those who will still not register their SIM cards after the deadline will experience outright blockade.

Following an extensive meeting with telcos, the NCA has outlined some punitive measures against individuals who fail to register their SIMs.
