Nigerian actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has accused some television stations in Ghana of showing her movies without her permission. She expressed her frustration in a social media post, calling the act “intellectual property theft.”
Omoni stated that making movies takes a lot of effort, and it is unfair for TV stations to air her work without paying for it. She warned that she would take legal action against those responsible.
“You have no idea how much work goes into these projects,” she wrote. “You will pay for every one of my movies you have shown without permission!”
She also questioned whether Ghana had a television authority to regulate such issues. Many of her fans and colleagues have supported her stance, agreeing that artists should be fairly compensated for their work.

As of now, no TV station has responded to her accusations.
