Paris — Ghana will not have representation in the final of the men’s 100m at the 2024 Olympics after both of its sprinters fell short in the semi-finals.
Abdul-Rasheed Saminu finished 7th in Heat 3 of the semi-finals with a time of 10.05 seconds. His performance, while commendable, did not secure him a spot in the final race.

Earlier, Benjamin Azamati narrowly missed qualifying, placing 9th overall in the semi-finals with a time of 10.17 seconds. Despite strong performances, both athletes fell just short of advancing to the final round.
The results mark a disappointing end to Ghana’s hopes in the men’s 100m event at these Games, but the performances of Saminu and Azamati have been a source of national pride.
