Police officer k!lled in rival clash as masked gunmen storm Sampa

Violent clash between rival groups on Sunday afternoon that left a police officer dead has brought about tension in Sampa.

According to reports, a group of armed men wearing masks stormed parts of the town, firing indiscriminately and causing panic among residents. The incident, which occurred in broad daylight, forced many to flee for safety as the gunmen clashed with rival factions.

Sources have confirmed that one police officer lost his life during the confrontation. The identity of the deceased officer has not yet been released as authorities work to notify the family.

Police reinforcement has since been deployed to restore calm and prevent further violence. A joint security team is also conducting patrols and investigations to apprehend those involved in the attack.

The Ghana Police Service is yet to issue an official statement on the incident.

Residents have expressed fear and called for swift action from security agencies to ensure peace and stability in the area.
