Robbers rob package of bread instead of cash; return to kill pregnant woman out of frustration 

Bread Bag Mistaken for Cash Leads to Tragic Robbery and Loss

Two robbers targeting a local businessman, Raymond Suglo, and his wife, met a tragic and bizarre end to their crime spree. The assailants, armed with a gun and a machete, confronted the couple as they returned home around 9:30 p.m. last Monday, per daily graphic reports.

The Suglos managed to retreat into the safety of their home, but a fierce struggle ensued as the robbers attempted to force their way in, with the Suglo’s children mere feet away in a bedroom. A gunshot pierced the air, injuring Mr. Suglo, who displayed remarkable bravery throughout the ordeal.

During the struggle, one of the robbers sustained a significant facial injury, courtesy of Mr. Suglo’s resourcefulness. Ultimately, the robbers made off with what they believed to be a valuable haul from Mr. Suglo’s motorbike. However, upon closer inspection, the loot turned out to be nothing more than a loaf of bread, intended for the family’s breakfast the following day.

Realizing their grave mistake, the robbers returned to the Suglo residence, only to find Mr. Suglo absent; who had rushed himself to the nearby hospital to take care of the about seven gunshots from the robbers. In a fit of frustration and rage, they committed a heinous act, taking the life of Mrs. Dorothy Suglo, who was tragically pregnant.

At present, Mr. Suglo is in stable condition at the Upper West Regional Hospital, where he is set to undergo surgery. The authorities have launched an intensive search for the robbers and are urging the public to report anyone with a distinctive facial wound.

This shocking incident serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable and often tragic consequences that can arise from criminal activities. The community is left in mourning for the loss of Mrs. Dorothy Suglo, a victim of this senseless act of violence.
