Jojo Wollacott completes a move to Scottish side Hibernian on a three-year deal
Ghanaian goalkeeper, Jojo Wollacott, has joined Scottish club Hibernian on a thre-year-deal. This move comes off the back of impressive seasons with Swindon and Charlton Athletic.
The goalkeeper joins Hibernian from Charlton Athletic for an undisclosed fee. Jojo will get an opportunity to feature in the Europa Conference League if Hibernian gain qualification to the group stages.
After reuniting with Wollacott, the head coach of Hibernian eulogizes the player’s athletic bravery in post and how experienced he has become from having more than 100 caps for both club and country as a professional footballer.
“He’s athletic, brave, and confident and, with big competitions coming up, it’s important we’re strong in the goalkeeping department”, Hibernian coach Lee Johnson said.
“He’s a player I’ve known for some time and it’s great to see that he’s starting to fulfil his potential. He now has over 100 games under his belt and has played on the international stage with Ghana”, he added.
Wollacott, 26, was absent during the 2022 Mundial (World Cup), from sustaining a late finger injury in the warm up for his last outing at club level.
