Speaking in an interview on Fakye TV, the self-proclaimed “Dancehall King” explained that his performance fees reflect his success, influence, and brand value in the music industry. He noted that while his rates may vary depending on the nature of the event, $200,000 is his baseline for high-profile or private shows.

“I don’t settle for less because my brand speaks for itself,” Shatta Wale stated, highlighting the importance of maintaining premium standards as an artist.

The announcement has sparked discussions among fans and industry insiders about the growing commercialization of music and the standards being set by artists like Shatta Wale. For his part, the “Gringo” hitmaker seems unbothered, confidently maintaining his stance as Ghana’s highest-paid musician.
