Ghanaian veteran sports journalist, Kwabena Yeboah has stated that the time is due to stop spending extravagantly on contingents of the national teams of Ghana.

The sports commentator who is known for his jubilating chant ‘Oluwaa’ said this at the 47th MTN SWAG awards night at the Accra International Conference Center.

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) is known for awarding sports men and women who have deservedly performed well in the past one year for the development of sports in the country.

Over forty nominees were selected for the 47th MTN SWAG Awards.
