The National Communications Authority (NCA) has greenlit Elon Musk’s Starlink Satellite for operations in Ghana, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s quest for reliable and high-speed internet connectivity. The approval, announced by the NCA in a statement on April 25, 2024, paves the way for Starlink to address the pressing need for fast and dependable internet services in Ghana.

For Ghanaians eager to access Starlink’s services, the initial cost of the Starlink device starts at £225, approximately Ghc3,814 using the current exchange rate. Additionally, users will be required to pay a fixed monthly subscription fee of £75, equivalent to Ghc1,271, for unlimited internet access.

Prospective customers can secure their Starlink device by placing an order on the company’s website, with an initial deposit of $9. Orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring equitable access to the revolutionary internet service. Interested individuals can utilize the provided link to place their orders and anticipate delivery upon the commencement of Starlink’s operations in the country.

Ghana joins a growing list of African countries benefiting from Starlink’s innovative satellite internet services. The technology has already been deployed in nations like Malawi, Nigeria, Mozambique, Zambia, Rwanda, Kenya, and Benin, with Ghana marking the latest addition to this expanding network.
