Residents of Twifo Praso in the Twifo Atti Morkwa District have been gripped with fear and shock following the mysterious death of a young woman, identified as Nana Zinabu, believed to be between 18 and 19 years old.
The tragic discovery was made in the early hours of the morning when an eyewitness, who lived in the same house as the victim, stumbled upon her lifeless body. According to reports by the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the eyewitness had woken up around 4:30 a.m. to prepare food for sale when she noticed that Nana Zinabu’s door was unusually open. Upon entering the room, she found the teenager lying naked, her mouth sealed with what appeared to be super glue.
Disturbingly, near the body were three used condoms, apples, and other suspicious items, intensifying fears that the victim may have suffered a violent or ritualistic attack. The eyewitness immediately raised an alarm, drawing the attention of neighbors, who quickly reported the incident to the Praso Police Station.
The shocking incident has left the community in distress, particularly as the deceased was preparing to graduate from her sewing apprenticeship this year. Many residents have expressed fear over the manner of her death, calling on authorities to ensure a swift and thorough investigation.
The Twifo Atti Morkwa District Police Command, led by Superintendent Charles Addei Boateng, has since launched an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the tragic death. The victim’s body has been deposited at the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Hospital for further examination as police intensify efforts to bring those responsible to justice.
Authorities have urged the public to remain calm while investigations continue. Meanwhile, residents remain on edge, hoping for answers in what has become one of the most chilling incidents in the area in recent times.
