The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has stated that members of the church have benefitted from an accumulated amount of GH₵ 2,951,453.04 as support for health care for the year 2021.
He said this when delivering the State-of-the-Church Address during the Opening Session of the 17th Extraordinary Council Meetings, May 4, 2022, at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa-Fetteh, near Kasoa.
The huge amount of money was explained as the medical bills of struggling members with basic medical care needs and bills for others with special medical conditions.
The Chairman further added, two new health facilities were constructed in some deprived Ghanaian communities; namely Kultamisi Pentecost Clinic, near Bawku in the Upper East Region and the Abrafo-Odumase Pentecost Clinic in the Central Region to improve health care provision of the people in both communities and Ghana as a whole.
The Church of Pentecost is the fastest growing church in Ghana which has been working towards their powerful but ambitious theme “Possessing The Nation”. Currently, the church has 10 hospitals with a total staff strength of 1,043, comprising doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, anesthetists, and biomedical scientists.
