The Greatest Sadness Is, You Won’t Get To Watch Me Play Again — Zlatan To Fans
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has finally retired from active play as a professional footballer. On Sunday, June 4, the 41-year-old gave his final speech to Milan fans as his contract with the club expires at the end of June.
The Swedish striker stated he won’t renew his contract as his last year was continuously hampered by injuries.
As part of his speech, as usual of him, Zlatan stated that his absence from active football will definitely create a vacuum in the viewership of fans and football lovers.
“I think the greatest sadness will be yours, as you won’t get to watch me play anymore. You should enjoy it now, because you’ll never see the likes of me again”, – he said.
He added that his decision to end his career was a secret; even his family was not aware.
“Even my family didn’t know, because I wanted that when I announced it everyone heard it at the same time,” he added.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic successfully finished his career with 561 goals for both club and country.
