Tragic Accident at Mallam Junction Claims Lives of Three Roadside Traders

A horrifying accident at Mallam Junction has claimed the lives of three roadside traders, igniting fresh concerns over the safety of roadside trading and vehicle operations in the area. The incident unfolded when a trotro, a popular form of public transport, reportedly lost control and careened into a group of traders who were conducting business along the roadside.

The vehicle, identified by its registration number AS 4719-18, was en route from Gbawe Zero when it allegedly experienced a catastrophic brake failure. Witnesses described the driver’s desperate attempts to regain control as the trotro veered towards the unsuspecting traders. Some managed to escape the oncoming danger, but tragically, others were unable to avoid the speeding vehicle.

Eyewitnesses recounted scenes of chaos as the trotro collided with the traders, leaving three individuals pinned beneath its weight. Rescue efforts were swiftly initiated, with emergency responders working tirelessly to extricate the victims. Despite their valiant efforts, the injuries sustained proved fatal for all three traders involved.
