A 59-year-old Peter Owusu lost his life when an uncompleted building collapsed on him in Kasoa Opeikuma, located within the Awutu Senya East Municipality. The unfortunate event unfolded during Owusu’s attempt to chase away a persistent bird that had been disturbing the vicinity from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m, per Adomonline reports.
Frustrated by the relentless cries of the bird, Owusu, determined to resolve the matter, took matters into his own hands. According to Isaac Opoku Mensah, the Kasoa Branch Pastor of Deeper Life Church, the widow of the deceased informed him that Owusu initially threw a stone at the bird, prompting it to temporarily vacate the area. However, the avian intruder returned approximately ten minutes later.
Owusu decided to climb the uncompleted building in an effort to rid it of the troublesome bird. Unfortunately, the structure collapsed suddenly, resulting in his untimely demise. Emergency responders rushed Owusu to the Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
