Followers of Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale turned wild and furious after the musician failed to represent as expected at the Eli Beach, Tegbi. The ‘On God’ fame was contracted to perform at 2022’s Hogbetsotso festival in an entertainment event titled ‘Hogbe Beach Rave’.
Many longed for Shatta Wale to exhibit his electrifying stage craft after local artistes like Jah Phinga, Agbeshie, Gabanki, Sunshine Soldier and the burgeoning Chief One among others have performed but he did not show up.
Some hopeful fans sang alongside popular tunes of the dancehall artiste which was played by the stage DJ but later got tired, disappointed and started shooting the stage and the DJ with bottled sand and plastic chairs.
Hogbetsotso festival is celebrated yearly on the first Saturday of November at Anloga. The festival is themed “Uniting for Development, sustaining our Unique cultural Commonwealth for future Generation.”
