2022 World Cup: Messi Shows Class As Argentina Beat Croatia To Reach Finals.

Argentina have beaten Luka Modric’s Croatia to become the first team to reach finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Croatia appeared promising at the start of the game by dominating possession in the first 30 minutes but lost concentration on the way when Dominik Livakovic conceded a penalty by tripping Julian Alvarez. 

Lionel Messi put it away from the penalty spot in which Livakovic was close to denying the opportunity, but Messi scored his fifth goal of the World Cup in the 34th minute to make it 1:0 in favour of Argentina.

Borna Sosa’s defensive blunder costed his team another goal. Alvarez scored to make it 2:0 for Argentina.

Messi, in the second half, created a scoring opportunity for Alvarez to score his second of the day in the 69th minute. Argentina are through by winning 3:0. They will meet either France or Morocco for the ultimate glory.
