En-Nesyri’s 42nd minute strike helped the Atlas Lions of Morocco to beat Portugal 1:0 to become the first African nation to progress to the semi-final stage of the history of the World Cup tournament.

Portugal won possession throughout the game at 75% to 25% but could not beat Morocco’s keeper to strike level heads. Cristiano Ronaldo who was on at the 51st minute could not effect any impact with his quality threat.
