Veteran Ghanaian actress Rose Mensah, affectionately known as Kyeiwaa, has urged young people to prioritize education to avoid future challenges, particularly in international settings.
In a heartfelt video shared on her Instagram page, Kyeiwaa opened up about the difficulties she encountered due to her limited educational background, especially after relocating to the United States.
“As you keep refusing to go to school, you might not see the effects today,” she cautioned. “But you might experience them in the future, especially if you travel abroad. If your mother is working hard to fend for you so that you get educated, pay attention and go to school. Don’t say you won’t go to school.”
The actress further highlighted her personal struggles, saying, “If you don’t go to school, you might not be able to communicate in English, just like me. I have been through it, that is why I am advising you.”
Kyeiwaa, celebrated for her iconic roles in Ghanaian movies like Akurasi Burgers, The Code of Money and Death, Akonoba, and Cross Road, has become a beloved figure in the Ghanaian film industry. Her candid advice has resonated with many fans, sparking discussions about the importance of education and its long-term benefits.
The actress, who is now based in the United States, often shares snippets of her life and experiences with her followers, using her platform to inspire and educate the younger generation.
