Tamale, Ghana – In a spectacular showcase of culinary prowess, Failatu Abdul-Razak has been conferred the prestigious title of ‘Executive Chef’ by the Ghana Chefs Association. The recognition comes in the midst of her ambitious attempt to surpass the current Guinness World Record held by Dorcus Mirembe, fondly known as Mama D, in a challenging cook-a-thon whose record is still in the process of review.
Members of the Ghana Chefs Association gathered at the venue to extend their unwavering support to Failatu as she strives to break the existing record. Chef Isaac, speaking on behalf of the association, emphasized their commitment to rallying behind Failatu during this remarkable endeavor.
“We are here to show our support, honor her, and confer on her the title of Executive Chef in Ghana,” Chef Isaac stated. He highlighted that this gesture aims to inspire other chefs to pursue and achieve similar accolades, contributing to the pride of the Association and the nation as a whole.
As a member of the World Chefs Society, the Ghana Chefs Association has actively participated in global competitions, showcasing the culinary excellence of Ghana on the international stage. In recognition of Failatu’s exceptional achievements, the Association presented her with a citation signed by the president, acknowledging her dedication to breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.
