The Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN) has firmly rejected recent statements made by Captain Smart of Onua TV, suggesting possible disturbances during this year’s Kwahu Easter celebrations. The network described these claims as baseless, misleading, and capable of inciting unnecessary fear and panic among the public.
In a letter released on 20th March, 2025, the Network assures patrons of the serenity of the festival, say, for decades, the Kwahu Easter festival has stood as a symbol of unity, cultural pride, and tourism, drawing thousands of visitors from across Ghana and beyond. The 2025 celebrations promise to uphold this legacy, with all necessary security measures in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
According to the KPN, the Kwahu Easter festival has consistently been organized in a secure and controlled environment, supported by law enforcement agencies, local authorities, and the Ghana Tourism Authority. The network emphasized that there is no credible intelligence to support the claims of unrest and urged the public to dismiss such unfounded rumors.
“The Kwahu Professionals Network takes pride in maintaining the reputation of Kwahu as a peaceful and welcoming destination. We encourage all Ghanaians and international visitors to join the 2025 Kwahu Easter festivities with confidence,” stated Richard Nyarko Sarpong, President of KPN.
The network further urged the media and stakeholders to share accurate information and avoid spreading unverified claims that could disrupt the success of the event.
This year’s festival will feature vibrant music, cultural displays, thrilling paragliding, delicious local cuisine, and the breathtaking scenery of the Kwahu mountains, celebrating the rich culture and economic vitality of the region.

Richard Nyarko Sarpong (President, Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN))
