Three Powerhouses Join Forces to Deliver the Ultimate Experience in Kwahu, Ghana
In a monumental collaboration, the Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN) has partnered with West Africa’s largest hotel, Rock City Hotel, and renowned tour operator Sunseekers Tours to unveil the highly anticipated ‘Yenko Kwahu’ event for 2023. Promising a weekend of adventure, culture, and celebration, the event is set to take place from Friday, September 22 to Sunday, September 24.

Friday, September 22: An Exciting Kick-off
The festivities kick off with an electrifying ‘Akwaaba Nite’ complete with a bonfire at the Mpraeso Social Centre in Mpreaso. Simultaneously, Rock City Hotel’s Pizzeria will host an open house party, promising an evening of lively entertainment and warm welcomes.
Saturday, September 23: A Day of Exploration:
Saturday is dedicated to exploration and immersion in the rich culture of Kwahu. Participants will embark on visits to must-see tourist sites including the awe-inspiring Butuase Waterfalls in Tafo, the serene Catholic Shrine in Tafo, and the fascinating Stone Age Park in Abetifi.
Adventurous souls can also partake in the Cyclist Marathon organized by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), and experience the thrill of paragliding at Odweanoma (GTA). Expert tour guides will be on hand to lead patrons through these breathtaking locations. As night falls, Rock City in Nkwatia will come alive with a Clubbing and Live Band Night, offering a night of music and dance at a cost of 150ghc for singles and 250ghc for couples.
Sunday, September 24: A Day of Reflection and Celebration
Sunday marks the culmination of the ‘Yenko Kwahu’ 2023 event. The morning will be graced by a special thanksgiving service in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) at the Rameseyer Presbyterian Church in Abetifi. Following this, attendees can indulge in a sumptuous brunch at Rock City in Nkwatia, priced at 165ghc per head. For those seeking a change of pace, ‘Taste of Kwahu’ by the poolside at Telvan Hotel in Abetifi promises a unique culinary adventure.
