Gospel singer Nana Yaw Boakye, widely known as MOG has vehemently pledged to himself to send African Examination body, WAEC, to court for unlawfully canceling his SSCE results in 2004 without diligently investigating into the matter.
The musician said this in an interview on HITZ FM’s DayBreakHitz with Doreen Avio which was watched by Sixscribes.com. He narrated how WAEC cancelled his SSSCE results because his classmate accused him of cheating during his final exams.
“I was writing my final exams, my SSCE and one of my mates, his name is Isaac Quayeson… so Isaac Quayeson went to take questions, I don’t know where he got them and he was selling the questions. He gave enough information about his identity and for some reason WAEC got the information that there is someone in Adesadel College doing that”
“I was going to write Geography. Walking up the stairs I see Isaac Quayeson and I said ‘bro, WAEC has now come to arrest you so Chale it is well’. I just gave him a blow(fist).
“Isaac Quayeson went to the police, they asked him questions and he went to mention my name that I, Nana Yaw BOAKYE, I’m his culprit meanwhile you had another culprit. I just came and give you encouragement that it is well.
“I was writing one of my papers when WAEC stormed the hall and took me out to investigate me.
“My colleague was swearing before them that I was his culprit, so I wrote a statement and told my parents. WAEC took it to court, and they cancelled our papers without any court hearing. I am saying this on air,” he explained.
“It affected me emotionally and psychologically. I had to stay home for four years before going to the university. I had to do another entrance exam to go to the University and I want a lawyer to help me get my SSCE results.”
The contemporary gospel singer said this in response to one painful incident which has ever happened to him.
“that is one painful thing in my life. As I am here, there is nothing that shows I went to ADISCO. I want a lawyer to help me to go to court just to get it. I have told myself that by next year I am going to court to recall that case,” he added.
