Honorable Frederick Obeng Somuah, the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nkawkaw constituency, made a notable appearance at the annual #RepUrJersey event organized by Team Success Entertainment. Held on the night of August 17, 2024, at the Dubai City Hotel, the event provided a platform for Somuah to discuss his plans for the youth of Nkawkaw and the nation.
Addressing attendees, Somuah emphasized his commitment to harnessing the potential of Nkawkaw’s youth. “It’s all about fun here, but I have a few centered policies aimed at developing the potentials of the youth,” he stated. “For those who wish to pursue education, we will ensure they have the opportunity. For those interested in apprenticeships, we will create the necessary mechanisms and avenues for employment.”
He expressed his desire to guide the youth of Nkawkaw in the right direction, citing his own experiences and the support he received. “I want to be the person who leads the youth into the right direction. The opportunities I had must be extended to everyone, regardless of their circumstances,” he said. “The potential of Nkawkaw’s youth is underutilized, and I plan to lead efforts to explore and maximize these potentials to make Nkawkaw a better place.”
Somuah also touched on his vision for enhancing local entertainment. “Many people don’t know that I am involved in the music industry. My junior brother, Yaw Blak, is into circular music, and my brother, Kojo Asamoah, helps organize events like the ‘All Black Party’. I have been involved in youth group activities behind the scenes,” he shared. “We may invest in such events to elevate Nkawkaw’s entertainment scene. I plan to collaborate with industry players to discuss policies that will benefit our entertainment industry, particularly around major celebrations like Easter.”
