A high Court in Accra has ruled in Favour of Ex-footballer, Nii Odartey Lamptey to get his East Legon mansion back from his divorced wife.

In an interview with Angel TV, Mr. Lamptey stated that he is grateful to God for giving him back, what he built with his own ‘sweat’.

“I was given one hour to leave my own house after the first ruling. A mansion I built with about $100,000 somewhere 1999. I built with my sweat but after the divorce court ruled that I move out of the house. But today, God be so good, with my competent lawyers, I have Won my mansion back” – Nii Odartey Lamptey said.

As part of the divorce Alimony, Mr. Lamptey gave out his five bedroom house at Dome and a sum of 400,000 cedis  to the ex wife but, instead, Ms Gloria Lamptey insisted she wanted the East Legon House.

The 20-year-old marital love of the Lampteys hit the rocks after a DNA test results revealed in 2013 that, Odartey Lamptey is not the biological father of his three kids.

A lot of allegations were made that he was impotent but He now has two children with his current partner, actress Ruweida Yakubu.

Nii Odartey Lamptey, born on the 10th December 1974, was a Ghanaian former professional footballer. He is the current manager of Elmina Sharks as well as the proprietor of a school in Accra called Glow-Lamp International School. During his playing time,  he played as a striker from 1990 until 2008 notably for Anderlecht, for Aston Villa, PSV Eindhoven, Coventry City and the Ghana national football team.
