The Atlas Lions of Morocco have won their first World Cup match against the Red Devils of Belgium in the Qatar 2022 tournament to top group F, behind Croatia.
Goals from Abdelhamid Sabiri in the 73rd minute and Zakaria Aboukhal in the 90+2 minutes gave the Atlas lions a comfortable 2:0 win.
According to OptaJoe, this is the seventh time the Red Devils have lost a match out of 19 played.

Morocco is currently second group F with 4 points two goals, led by Croatia who also have 4 points 3 goal. Belgium is third with 3 points and Canada fourth with no point after the second group of matches played. The Atlas Lions will play Canada in their last group match on December 1, 2022.
