Ejisu: Policeman, Wife And 4-Month-Old Kid Burnt To Ashes
Ghanaian Piliceman, Sergeant Asante Baafi Owusu, and family have met their untimely death in a domestic fire outbreak at Apromase in the Ejisu Municipality of Ashanti Region.
The unexpected incident occurred while the family; Sergeant Asante Baafi Owusu (36), Millicent Abena Achaa (wife) and Samuel Baafi Nyamedo (child) were asleep at home in a two-story building for Police Personnel on Monday January 16, 2023.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service, DO III Peter Addai, confirmed the incident and said there was no way in to immediately rescue the victims when the fire engine arrived at the scene.
He further stated that investigations are underway to find out the possible cause of the fire outbreak.
”The bodies of the three persons have been handed over to the Police for investigations while the Fire Service is conducting its side of investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire,”
Mr. Addai counseled the general public to be extra careful, especially during this time of harmattan.
