Senegalese forward, Sadio Mané has written an open appreciation post to all fans and concerned football lovers who paid tribute to him when the news of his injury broke. The Bayern Munich forward who made the 26-man squad cut to represent his home country got injured and had to undergo monitored rehabilitation.
“Many of you have sent messages of support following my injury. Thank God, the midweek surgery went well. I wanna take this opportunity to thank and show my appreciation to you all.” — Sadio Mané wrote on Facebook to thank all who were concerned about his well-being.
Coach of the Senegal National Football Team, Aliou Cisse, had to replace Mané with Moussa Ndiaye since the Bayern forward will not be fit for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Despite the striker missing the chance, he has urged his colleagues to fight with all their might as “one man” for Senegal.
“This Monday, our dear country will compete in the World Cup, Qatar 2022. I am sure the Lions will transcend and approach every game as a true finale. I am also convinced that all Senegalese will be in front of the small screen to support and encourage our valiant national team. Like all the unconditional in the Taniere, I am convinced that the teammates will fight as one man and as they usually do in order to honor our dear Senegal. Long live Senegal, come on”
